Priestley to Receive Owens Corning Award from AIChE MESD

Rodney D. Priestley, Associate Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering and Associate Director of the Princeton Center for Complex Materials, has been chosen to receive the 2017 Owens Corning Early Career Award from the Materials Engineering and Sciences Division (MESD) of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).  The award “recognizes outstanding independent contributions to the scientific, technological, educational or service areas of materials science and engineering” by someone under the age of 40.  Priestley is being honored “for novel experiments illuminating the glass transition; for a method to create ultrastable glassy polymer films; and for a scalable route to structured colloidal particles,” and will receive the award in the MESD Plenary Session on November 1 at the 2017 AIChE Annual Meeting in Minneapolis.
