Kevrekidis to retire and move to Johns Hopkins University

Professor Yannis Kevrekidis will retire from the University effective July 1, 2017, with the titles of Pomeroy and Betty Perry Smith Professor in Engineering, Emeritus, and Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering and Applied and Computational Mathematics, Emeritus. Professor Kevrekidis joined Princeton's chemical engineering faculty in 1986. Research in the Kevrekidis group has focused on the dynamic behavior of chemically reacting systems, and the development of innovative computer-assisted techniques for modeling engineering processes. During his Princeton career, Prof. Kevrekidis has advised or co-advised 25 Ph.D. students in Chemical Engineering (also 4 in Applied Mathematics), many of whom have gone on to prominent positions in academia  and industry. Following his retirement from Princeton, Yannis will be moving to a Bloomberg Distinguished Professorship at Johns Hopkins University.
