Brun's group receives the Milton van Dyke Award

Instability-mediated elastic drops. The drops are created via the Rayleigh-Taylor instability in thin polymeric films centrifuged at different rotation speeds.

At the 2017 American Physical Society (APS) Division of Fluid Dynamics meeting in Denver, Brun's group has been awarded the Milton van Dyke award for its submission at the Gallery of Fluid Motion. According to the APS website: "The Gallery of Fluid Motion is intended to be a visual record of the aesthetic and science of contemporary fluid mechanics, to be shared both with fellow researchers and the general public." Come and see the poster next to the Liquid and Elasticity Lab (A314).
