ChE Faculty and Students Recognized for Outstanding Teaching
Chemical Engineering faculty and students were among those included in the Princeton Engineering's Commendation List for Outstanding Teaching. for courses taught in the Fall of 2007. Professor Pablo Debenedetti was recognized for CHE 503, Advanced Thermodynamics. The commended graduate students were Justin Spaeth, CHE 341 (Mass, Momentum, and Energy Transport); Ashwin Subramani, CHE 442 (Design, Synthesis, and Optimization of Chemical Processes); and Peter Verderame, also for CHE 442. Professors named to the list are those who received the highest scores on student evaluations for undergraduate and graduate courses. Graduate students on this list were nominated by their departments or course instructors for their dedicated efforts in the classes listed.
On April 24, Professor Sankaran Sundaresan was honored with an Excellence in Teaching Award from Princeton's Engineering Council for his outstanding teaching in ChE 341 (Mass, Momentum and Energy Transport) during the fall semester of 2007. Excellence in Teaching Awards are administered by students.
