Debenedetti and Russel Named AAAS Fellows
Two CBE faculty were recently named Fellows by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), in the AAAS’ Section on Engineering. Fellows are selected for their distinguished contributions to science and technology, and are recognized at a special Fellows Forum at the AAAS Annual Meeting (to be held in 2012 in Vancouver, Canada, on February 18). Pablo Debenedetti, Class of 1950 Professor and Vice Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science, was recognized for his work in chemical engineering thermodynamics, and William Russel, Arthur W. Marks ‘19 Professor and Dean of the Graduate School, was recognized for his work in colloid science and graduate education. Debenedetti and Russel are two of six Princeton natural science and engineering faculty honored as AAAS Fellows this year; for more information, see the story on the Princeton University homepage.
