Walid Saad to receive Schering-Plough Science and Innovation Award
Walid Saad, a current graduate student working with Professor Robert K. Prud’homme, has been awarded the Schering-Plough Science and Innovation Award. This new award is intended to recognize the top student in the department, who will receive a plaque of recognition, trophy and a cash award. Walid and Prof. Prud’homme will visit Schering-Plough to tour their laboratories and will participate in a two-day symposium, being held in honor of the winners (from a total of 13 Chemical Engineering departments across the U.S.), to deliver presentations on their Ph.D. research. This program is designed to build a rapport between Schering-Plough, the awardees and the individual departments invited to participate.
