Abstract:
This lecture surveys current digitally-driven developments in building design, engineering, fabrication, and construction and examines their wider implications for the building industry. A wide range of themes are covered, including parametric design, digital fabrication, performance simulation, mass-customization and building information modeling, and illustrated with numerous examples from contemporary practice.
