Prof. Jan Nordbotten, who has a continuing visiting appointment in the CEE Department, is the inaugural recipient of the Geosciences Junior Scientist Prize from the Society of Applied and Industrial Mathematics (SIAM). The prize is awarded to “an outstanding junior researcher" in the field of geosciences for distinguished contributions to the field in the three calendar years prior to the year of the award. This is a very well-deserved recognition for Jan’s truly outstanding work.
