David Billington's *Final* Lecture
On Wednesday, May 1st, Professor David Billington delivered his very last lecture in CEE 262 - Structures in the Urban Environment (known as "Bridges" to the students) in McCosh 50. Wednesday was a very special day, and the department was invited to be there to take part in saying goodbye and showing appreciation to Professor Billington, who has been teaching at Princeton for 55 years!
Professor Billington has been teaching CEE262 continuously since 1974, making this the 40th consecutive year that he has taught this very popular course at Princeton. As students and guests walked into the lecture hall, they were given cards to write him a note if they so wished. This collection of cards will be given to him later as a reminder of this day.
We wish David the best of luck, and his lectures will be sorely missed.
