CEE Chair Shares IPCC Nobel Prize
Professor Michael Celia was a contributing author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report titled "Carbon Dioxide Capture and Storage". This was one of several publications produced by the IPCC Working Group III. All of the authors of these reports have been included in the team that shares the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, which was awarded to the IPCC and Vice President Al Gore. As such, Professor Celia, along with many colleagues who contributed to these IPCC reports, is a recipient of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
