Professor Emeritus Steve Slaby dies
CEE Professor Emeritus Steve Slaby passed away July 5, 2008. Professor Slaby was a member of the Civil Engineering faculty at Princeton for almost 40 years, retiring in 1991. He was a recognized expert in engineering graphics and descriptive geometry, and authored 5 books on these topics. He also had a strong interest in the impact of engineering on society and was very involved in bringing practical engineering solutions to developing regions, including work in Vietnam and the Caribbean. Steve is pictured here on campus with his beloved wife of 62 years, Karin. Steve is survived by his daughter, Kristin, his son, Stefan, and two grandsons, Justin and Jason. All of us in CEE send our condolences to Steve's family.
