Zoe Hoster Wins 3rd Place in Engineering Student Design Competition
CEE Senior, Zoe Hoster won third place in the undergraduate student division of the James F. Lincoln Arc Welding Foundation's Engineering Student Design Competition. Zoe won the award with her submission of a paper on the Britannia Bridge. The paper is the project of a year-long independent study project looking at the Britannia Bridge and the optimization of its design. Zoe spent the last academic year at Oxford and completed the project during that time. The JFLF student design competition is for American engineering student work on problems related to buildings, bridges mechanical apparatuses and arc welding.
