Eric Wood Awarded the 2010 Jule G. Charney Award from AMS
Eric Wood has been awarded the 2010 Jule G. Charney Award from the American Meteorological Society “for pioneering contributions to understanding the role of land surface heterogeneity in the coupled water and energy balance of the Earth surface”. This is the highest award given to hydrologists by the AMS.
The Jule G. Charney Award is granted to individuals in recognition of highly significant research or development achievement in the atmospheric or hydrologic sciences. The award is in the form of a medallion. Nominations are considered by the Atmospheric Research Awards Committee, which makes recommendations for final approval by AMS Council.
