Grad Student Ning Lin Appointed A Robert Hoffman *58 Scholar for 2009-2010
The Alumni Council’s Committee on Academic Programs for Alumni (CAPA) has selected Ning Lin to be one of three Robert Hoffman *58 Scholars for 2009-2010. She was chosen based on the merits of her distinguished career at Princeton, the excellence of her dissertation project, and her ability to communicate her scholarship to a broad audience outside her discipline.
The Committee on Academic Programs is entrusted with engaging Princeton alumni, both graduate and undergraduate, in the intellectual life of the University. 2010 will be the third year of this new program, named in memory of Robert Hoffman *58, a longstanding and ardent supporter of Princeton’s alumni education program. The program’s goal is to honor outstanding graduate students and introduce their work to the alumni community.
CAPA believes Ning’s research typifies the innovative and dynamic work being done by Princeton graduates. Ning will present her research at an special event on April 27th.
Congratulations on a well-deserved honor!
