Professor Erik Vanmarcke appointed "Kwang-hua Chair Professor" at Shanghai's Tongji University
The department is happy to announce that Professor Erik Vanmarcke has been appointed "Kwang-hua Chair Professor" at Shanghai's Tongji University. Tongji University is a leading university on mainland China in civil and environmental engineering. The visiting-professor appointment is endowed by the Kwang-hua Foundation of Taiwan which has funded, in the past few years, several chairs at top mainland Chinese universities. The appointment will allow Professor Vanmarcke to visit Tongji and Shanghai-Jiaotong Universities for up to three months annually.
