Minghui Diao and Megan Konar Selected as Princeton Energy and Climate Scholars

The department is please to announce that graduate students, Minghui Diao and Megan Konar, are two of six graduate students selected to join the Princeton Energy and Climate Scholars (PECS) this fall.  PECS, now entering its fourth year, includes graduate students seeking Ph.D.'s from a wide range of departments including Economics, Geosciences, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and across the Engineering and Woodrow Wilson Schools.

The PECS initiative is supported through the Siebel Energy Grand Challenge.  Created in the spring of 2008, PECS aims to provide a platform for Ph.D. students working on any aspect of energy and climate research to interact, collaborate, gain first hand understanding of research areas outside of their own discipline, and ultimately broaden their horizons both as scholars and as citizens.

At the end of the year, students of PECS engage in a collaborative project where each student has an opportunity to contribute their own expertise and insight.  Examples of past projects are available on the PECS website.

Congratulations to Minghui and Megan!
