Research Interests
Above is a rare photo of Lixin on vacation. However, you should not be deceived; he’s already half-way through writing a discussion section in his head. By the time you finish this sentence, Lixin will have already published it!
Lixin’s general research interests include studying spatial and temporal patterns of water and nitrogen availability in arid environments, and how vegetation adapts to and affects such patterns. Lixin is also taking the lead on our work using stable isotopes to partition evaporation and transpiration at landscape scales in dryland ecosystems.
