Conference on "Historicizing Climate Change" (advance registration required)
This conference will explore the emerging intellectual history of climate change. Themes will include the emergence of caring about a multi-generational human future, the dynamics of social and ecological change, the competition among narratives bearing on international responsibilities and obligations, and the presentation of uncertainty . Historians, social scientists and natural scientists will be invited to reflect on one another\'s presentations in sketching out the lines and possible trajectories of this nascent research area.
