Torquato to receive the 2009 APS Adler Lectureship

Salvatore Torquato, Professor of Chemistry and an associate faculty member in Chemical Engineering, will receive the 2009 David Adler Lectureship Award from the American Physical Society (APS) at its annual March Meeting in Pittsburgh, where he will also deliver an invited lecture. The award recognizes an outstanding contributor to the field of materials physics, and cites Torquato "for his highly original and deep studies of n-point correlation functions in heterogeneous materials and his outstanding communication of these results through publication and public presentation."
