Jacobus Fellow Peter DiMaggio Honored at Alumni Day

Chemical Engineering graduate student Peter DiMaggio, Jacobus Honorific Fellow for 2008-09, was recognized at the Alumni Day Ceremonies on February 21 by President Shirley Tilghman and Dean of the Graduate School Bill Russel. The Jacobus Fellowship is the highest honor conferred by the Graduate School, and is limited to one per year in each Division of the University. DiMaggio’s thesis, advised by Professor Chris Floudas, focuses on the new field of proteomics: the large-scale study of proteins in a living system.
