Aksay-Prud’homme Graphene Research Highlighted in C&E News
Posted: March 10, 2009
The cover story in the March 2 issue of Chemical & Engineering is graphene: a single atomic sheet of carbon considered to be “one of the hottest topics in materials science these days”. The kicks off with an atomic force microscope image from Postdoctoral Associate Hannes Schniepp and Professor Ilhan Aksay, and contains an extended quote from Aksay describing the Princeton-developed process for preparing functional graphene with extraordinarily high surface area. Also mentioned in the article are co-inventor Professor Robert Prud’homme, and Dr. John Lettow ‘95 of Vorbeck Materials, which is gearing up to produce graphene in ton quantities.
