GSO

The Chemistry Graduate Student Organization (GSO) organizes and runs a variety of social, recruiting, and guest speaker events for the department. These events include the department's annual social and mixer (known as "Frixer"), the departmental holiday celebration (known as "Frickmas"), visiting weekends for prospective graduate students, orientation-week events for incoming graduate students, and the Student-Invited Lecture Series (SILS).

If you have questions about the program and want a grad-student perspective, or if you want to start up a new initiative, feel free to contact any of the officers or committee chairs.

A member of the GSO asks junior undergraduates about their independent research during the annual Core Lab/CHM 371 poster session.

Members of the GSO and third-year class perform a satirical skit during the department's annual Frickmas holiday social.

Members of the chemistry faculty watch the 2011 Frickmas skits.
