Carter awarded Sigillo D'Oro by Italian Chemistry Society
September 27, 2013. Pisa, Italy. The Italian Chemistry Society awarded Emily Carter, Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Applied and Computational Mathematics, and associated faculty with the Department of Chemistry; with the Sigillo D’Oro (Golden Seal) at the Avogadro Colloquium hosted by the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Italy. The Sigillo D’Oro of the Società Chimica Italiana (Italian Chemistry Society) was created in 2005 to reward individuals who have distinguished themselves at the international level in the field of Chemistry, both in their science and in their organizational and dissemination efforts. Carter is the Gerhard R. Andlinger Professor in Energy and the Environment, Director of the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment, and Associate Director of the Program in Technology and Society.
