The American Chemical Society (ACS) announced today that Tom Muir, the Van Zandt Williams Jr. Class of 1965 Professor of Chemistry; and Martin Semmelhack, Professor of Chemistry and Associate Chair; are 2013 recipients of Arthur C. Cope Scholar Awards. Ten Cope Scholar Awards are given annually "to recognize and encourage excellence in organic chemistry." The award consists of $5,000 and a $40,000 unrestricted research grant.
