Quantum Control and Time Resolved Spectroscopy
This talk will focus on new approaches to ultrafast time resolved and quantum control spectroscopy. I will discuss recent pump probe and two dimensional Fourier transform spectroscopy experiments which shed light on the excited state dynamics and photoprotection of the DNA/RNA bases. I will also discuss experiments which use pulse shape spectroscopy to discriminate between enzyme bound and unbound NADH molecules in solution. I will conclude with some outlook for the field of quantum control spectroscopy.
