Profile
I have had a peripatetic education with a lower case "p". Following a dual B.A in modern languages and English Lit. at a small liberal arts college in New England, I spent a year in Munich on a Fullbright fellowship and then another in Rome learning to speak Latin with Father Reginald Foster. After three years of courses and exams at Princeton, I recovered on an exchange at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris. Last year I became co-founder of The Paideia Institute, a study abroad company directly targeting advanced students in the humanities. My dissertation is on meter and genre in Latin lyric poetry.
