DARPA MTO
Phase II reconfigurable incoherent OCDMA testbed
- Introduced the concept of M-ary (multi-symbol) OCDMA to increase spectral efficiency
- Demonstrated 10 Gb/s usingoptical encoded PPM (M-ary) with M = 4, 6 users
- INtegrated, computer-controlled tunable delay lines allowed receiver to tune to any transmitter code
- Scalability analysis shows 31 simultaneous users
- Also demonstrated asynchronous, incoherent OOK operating at 5 Gb/s with 8 users @ 10-9 BER

USAF/Rome
Reconfigurable incoherent OCDMA testbed
- Introduced the concept of "soft blocking" in OCDMA system
- Asynchronous, incoherent OOK operating at 2.5 Gb/s
- Demonstrated 4 users at 10-9 uncorrected BER with computer controlled tunable receiver
- (4, 41) carrier hopping prime codes, maintain orthogonality for multi-rate, multi-QoS transmission
- Modified for Phase III Lincoln Labs application
- Scalable to 10 simultaneous users
