Emily Aronson, media officer/special projects assistant, holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass., where she majored in history and minored in journalism. She also earned a program certificate from Boston University’s Washington Journalism Center in Washington, D.C., where she spent a semester as an intern at Congressional Quarterly and working as a Capitol Hill correspondent for a daily newspaper in Massachusetts.

Prior to arriving at the University in February 2007, she spent three years as a reporter for the Portsmouth Herald in Portsmouth, N.H. While at the paper, Emily covered a range of local and national issues, including the 2004 presidential primary and election. She also served as community editor for the Portsmouth Herald and its sister publications.

Emily was born and raised in Chatham, N.J. In her spare time, she likes spending time with family and friends, traveling to New York City to enjoy great food and entertainment, and taking summer day trips to the Jersey shore.
