Before coming to Princeton in February 2008, Kitta MacPherson spent more than 25 years in daily newspaper journalism, most of it at The Star-Ledger of Newark where she won many writing awards for her coverage of science. She witnessed and cataloged some of modern science's best moments (many of them at Princeton), including discoveries about the nature of the universe, global warming, solutions to long-standing mathematical mysteries, and advances in molecular biology and plasma physics. She relishes taking complex topics in science, and writing about them in a clear and compelling way. Kitta covers the many diverse scientific teaching and research efforts at the University for the Princeton University Bulletin and the Princeton website and works with media representatives who report on science. She graduated magna cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University. A widow, she is the proud mother of three children.
