Ruth Stevens possesses more than 25 years of experience in higher education public relations and communications. She works as part of a team to edit and manage the flow of material for the University home page, the Princeton University Bulletin, news releases, and other communications tools. She also serves as a special liaison to departments to help them identify critical communications needs and plan strategically to address them. A staff member at Princeton since 2000, she previously served as director of the news bureau at Carleton College and as director of news services and director of academic communications at Western Michigan University. She earned her bachelor's degree in journalism, magna cum laude, from Central Michigan University and her MBA from Western Michigan University. Outside the office, she hones her teamwork skills as a member of two handbell choirs. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats, playing golf and reading.
