Princeton Imagery Policy

Restricted Images

Images that include all or recognizable portions of:

  • Nassau Hall
  • Alexander Hall
  • Blair Hall arch, steps and tower
  • FitzRandolph Gate
  • Lewis Library

are not permitted to be used for any purpose other than University business, whether they are supplied by the University or taken independently.

Photographs that show the recognizable faces of people under 18 years of age, even if such people are on the Princeton campus, may only be used in print or on websites if the office publishing the material has a signed child/ward release form (.pdf) from the person’s parent or guardian.

Commercial Photography

Commercial photography, still and/or motion, is not permitted on campus without prior consent. Commercial uses of campus images, in any form including but not limited to advertising and merchandising, require prior consent of the University. Requests should be directed either to the Office of Trademark Licensing or Lauren Ugorji, formerly Robinson-Brown, assistant vice president for communications.
