Leon Grek studies Late Republican and Augustan Latin literature and its reception in the English Renaissance. His research interests include literary representations of urban space and topography, with a particular focus on the city of Rome, literary humanism, and the relationships between literature and other forms of cultural memory. He received his B.A. from McGill University, where he studied English Literature and Classics, and a M.St. in Classics from Oxford, where he wrote a master's thesis entitled "Cum longum scriberet annum: Ovidian Narrative and Roman Epistemological Discourse in the Fasti.
