Clark and Lauderdale Publication Named Best in Law and Courts
Tom S. Clark (PhD '08) and Benjamin Lauderdale (PhD ' 10) have received the 2013 Best Journal Article Award from the Law and Courts Organized Section of the American Political Science Association for their paper, "The Supreme Court's Many Median Justices," American Political Science Review 106(4):847-866.This award recognizes the best journal article on law and courts written by a political scientist and published during the previous calendar year.
Both Clark and Lauderdale were graduate student affiliates of the Center for the Study of Democratic Politics. Tom Clark is associate professor of politics at Emory University, and Ben Lauderdale is currently a tenured lecturer in political methodology at the London School of Economics. This is the second time they have received this award, having garnered it in 2011 for a previous paper.
