A Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Politics, Alex Ruder's areas of interest include bureaucracy, interest groups, and public policy. Specifically, he researches how bureaucracy and interest groups influence economic competitiveness, education, and inequality. To support his research endeavors, Alex has three years experience working for economic and workforce development agencies, where he was involved in program evaluation and statewide policy planning. He holds both a B.A. and a M.P.P.
