Michele Demak Epstein is the Assistant Director of the Center for the Study of Democratic Politics. She previously produced television documentaries for PBS on the healthcare crisis and on the need for election reform, stemming from the 2000 presidential election. Her prior professional positions were primarily in advertising and pharmaceutical marketing agencies, including designing behavior change programs and developing health communications. Michele has also directed health behavior research programs and taught at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and at the University of Michigan. She holds an AB in psychology and a MPH in health behavior from the University of Michigan, and is a PhD candidate (ABD) at the University of Michigan.
