Collaboration

There are a number of groups that meet or collaborate electronically on campus to discuss issues related to scientific computing and HPC, and that help to steer the direction of the university's efforts in those areas. You can find more information about these organizations by following the links below or using the menu on the left.

  • PICSciE (Princeton Institute for Computational Science and Engineering) - an interdisciplinary institute designed to bring together faculty and researchers from diverse backgrounds leveraging their broad expertise to address new and relevant computational problems and thereby contribute to the body of scientific knowledge
  • RCAG (Research Computing Advisory Group) - a group of faculty, departmental computing staff and OIT staff who
  • TIGRESS SC (Terascale Infrastructure for Groundbreaking Research in Engineering and Science High Performance Computing and Visualization Steering Committee) - a group of key contributors to the TIGRESS systems who establish policies for the use of those systems
  • TIGRESS UG (Terascale Infrastructure for Groundbreaking Research in Engineering and Science High Performance Computing and Visualization Users Group) - A regular meeting of the researchers who use the TIGRESS systems and CSES to share information on the TIGRESS resources and learn about each others research.
  • SCAM ((Scientific Computing|Super Computing) Administrators Meeting) - A group of system administrators for science and engineering departments who meet to discuss common issues
  • PLUG (Princeton Linux Users Group) - A forum to build a community of support and interaction to improve the Linux experience on campus
