Jeffrey Stout (Ph.D., Princeton University) is the author of The Flight from Authority, Ethics After Babel, and Democracy and Tradition, as well as co-editor of Grammar and Grace: Reformulations of Aquinas and Wittgenstein. His new book is entitled Blessed are the Organized: Grassroots Democracy in America. He is now completing a book on religion and film. Professor Stout's interests include theories of religion, religious and philosophical ethics, philosophy of religion, social criticism, political thought, and modern theology. He is a contributing editor of the Journal of Religious Ethics. He served as president of the American Academy of Religion in 2007.
