The Council on Science and Technology (CST) is seeking a Program Coordinator to support CST initiatives and activities by developing and implementing relevant programming and overseeing the financial and administrative operations of the Council.
The Program Coordinator reports to the Associate Director of CST. The CST fosters education, research, and intellectual exchange that deepen and broaden understanding, experience, and appreciation of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The Council partners with engineering, mathematics, natural sciences, the arts, humanities, and social sciences to explore and promote the relation of STEM with culture and the course of public affairs.
The Program Coordinator will:
- assist with the planning, development and management of a new flexible space that supports innovative courses, projects and research that explore the intersections of STEM with the humanities, social sciences and the arts; monitor, develop, and share information about best practices in STEM education research with colleagues, partners and others at their request; plan and manage CST events (such as, the Evnin Lecture, Women in STEM panel, and Pope Prize); assist with administrative management of CST-supported courses; administer office finances and track CST funds; develop and maintain CST newsletter; maintain up-to-date content for CST website and other publications; and assist the Associate Director, as needed.
