"International Return Migration and its Political Impact in China: Contexts, Dynamics and Comparisons," - Donglin Han, CWP Fellow
Donglin Han, a CWP fellow located at Harvard University, will explore the political impact of international return migration in China in the last century. China is, without exception, under the increased impact of people's movements across borders: its past has significantly been shaped by return migration. Return migrants intensively participate in China's domestic political development, both in political institutions and culture. This talk will compare the different waves of return migration and its political impact on Chinese politics to construct an explanation of the political impact over years.
