In the National Interest, Joel Wuthnow writes "Why China Would Intervene in Syria," an article that addresses China's role with regard to Syria and how it might use its influence to pursuade Assad's forces to exercise restraint. Joel was a CWP postdoctoral Fellow for 2011-2012.  He is currently an analyst for the Center for Naval Analyses where he provides insight on China's political and military developments.
