The DeSC Program General Account Information

Departmental Charge

Approved by the Treasurer’s Office in 2003,  the DeSC Program General account finances the Desktop System Council initiatives to support the DeSC Program Environments.  This fee is a one-time charge per machine.  It is charged the first time a computer is joined to the DeSC Standard or the MacDeSC Standard Environment.  An automated process creates a departmental charge of $50 against the project/grant account used by the department to purchase the laptop or desktop.
