Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Deployments - SCCM
Software deliveries typically begin at 11:59 pm on the night of a scheduled SCCM distribution. For large software packages, the distribution is scheduled over four days.
At the start of the process, the SCCM client software on a DeSC computer connects to the DeSC software server and asks for any new software. The server sends the software to the DeSC machine for installation.
Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy Object MSI Deployments - GPO
Software applied using Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPO) begin at 11:59pm on the night of the scheduled deployment with a reboot of the machine.
Microsoft Software Update Services - WSUS
Windows Operating Systems, Internet Explorer and some Microsoft application, such as Office, latest critical updates, security updates and Service Packs installed on as needed basis. Software installed on Friday nights unless deemed highly critical.
DeSC Image
Keyed application upgrade, which are not security or bug fixes, will be distributed when a new model image is released.
