| Dialogue@Princeton is a concept
designed to foster a more open and welcoming campus environment by
supporting projects that promote honest, ongoing dialogue on many
topics -- such as race, ethnicity, gender, faith, class differences
and social justice -- among all members of the University community.
Dialogue enhances the ability of students, faculty and staff members
to function better in the University community and ultimately to
participate more fully in a democratic society. The guiding philosophy
of Dialogue@Princeton is respect for the ideas and feelings of others.
Its rewards include greater understanding of fellow community members,
deeper appreciation of other cultures and a stronger web of connection
throughout the University community.
Among the goals of Dialogue@Princeton are:
Expanding programs such as Sustained Dialogue, which is comprised of
small groups that meet regularly to discuss diversity-related issues
Promoting new dialogue groups and campus-wide dialogue forums
Providing resources for community-building programs and events through
the Bildner Fund for the Advancement of
Diversity on Campus
