About Us
Through a partnership between the Office of the Provost and the Office of Human Resources, the institutional equity and diversity team provides leadership in creating and carrying out campus-wide diversity initiatives. In addition to maintaining this website, the team members implement and oversee the enforcement of the equal opportunity policy throughout the University; develop and monitor the affirmative action program; consult with managers and develop action plans for increasing diversity in recruitment and retention; coordinate and handle complaints of harassment and discrimination; provide education resources, including onsite and online learning experiences; and ensure that our policies and programs not only comply with federal, state and local laws and regulations, but also serve to advance the University’s educational mission of academic excellence.
