Title IX
"No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."

Title IX and its implementing federal regulations prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex in its programs and activities. The University is committed to maintaining an educational, working, and living environment free from discrimination and harassment, including maintaining an environment in which no student, faculty or staff member is excluded from participation in or denied the benefits of its programs and activities as a result of gender. The Vice Provost for Institutional Equity and Diversity serves as the University Title IX Coordinator and manages the University’s compliance with Title IX. When a student, faculty or staff member, or other participant in the University’s programs and activities feels that s/he has been subjected to discrimination on the basis of sex, s/he may use Princeton’s Title IX grievance procedures and Title IX grievance form to bring concerns to the attention of the University Title IX Coordinator for the purpose of obtaining a prompt and equitable resolution.
