Departments must notify assistant Professors in sixth year (or last year of extended term beyond sixth year) of departmental recommendation.

Board of Trustees meets and acts on recommendations by Academic Affairs Committee on Faculty actions. Formal notification sent to department chairs.

Record of Outside Professional Activity and Conflict of Interest and Commitment
Guidelines and materials for maintaining record of outside professional activity and conflict of interest and commitment available online to all faculty members and professional researchers and specialists.

Notification of non-tenured members of the faculty required by the Rules and Procedures of the Faculty
Departments must notify the following of the department's recommendations as appropriate: Associate Professors without tenure completing 3-year term; Assistant Professors in 3rd year of 3-year term; Senior Lecturers in final year of 3- or 5-year term; Lecturers in 6th year of appointment at 40% duty time or more.

Notification to Associate Research Scholars in their sixth year required by the Rules and Procedures
Departments must notify Associate Research Scholars in their sixth year of departmental recommendation regarding promotion to the rank of Research Scholar with continuing appointment.
