After acquiring an M.A. in Chinese literature at Fudan University, Shanghai, China, Chen Jue joined the EAS Department in 2009. His main interest is in classical Chinese literature, Chinese intellectual history, and Chan/Zen Buddhism in China and Japan. He would want to study Du Fu, arguably the greatest poet in Chinese literature, for his dissertation.
