Jenny Yu is a native English speaker originally from California, who is also fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, and is functional in French. She received her M.A. in Chinese Language and Education Management (South China Normal University) and her B.A. in International Studies, emphasis in Economics and Chinese Studies (University of California - San Diego). Jenny was a Gates Millennium scholar as an undergraduate and a Confucius Institute scholar while a graduate student. During her undergrad studies, she had also studied abroad at several international universities, including Cambridge University, American University in Paris, Peking University, and Shanghai Jiaotong University. She had worked and studied in Guangzhou, China from 2008-2011, prior to joining the EAS Department. After working for the Princeton in Beijing (PiB) program for the first time in Summer 2010, she now aspires to contribute her professional, academic and international experience to the growth and future success of the Chinese Linguistics Project and Princeton in Beijing.
