Joowon Suh
Joowon Suh, a senior lecturer of Korean, received her Ed. M. (2000) and Ed. D. (2007) in applied linguistics from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research interests include Korean linguistics and language pedagogy, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, interlanguage pragmatics and intercultural communication. She is currently working in collaboration to revise the last installment of the KLEAR Integrated Korean Textbook Series, Intermediate II (to be published in 2013), after having completed Beginning 1 (2009), Beginning 2 (2010), and Intermediate 1 (2012), and to create the accompanying workbooks. She also served on the task force that created Standards for Foreign Language Learning: Korean (2012). Currently, she is serving a three-year term as Executive Secretary of American Association of Teachers of Korean. Suh also serves on the editorial boards of Korean Semantics and Language and Information Society.
