Abstract:
In recent years we evidence a significant effort to incorporate quantum dots in dye-sensitized solar cells, resulting in constant increase of the conversion efficiencies. The new insight gained in these studies enabled the development of new concepts of efficient utilization of quantum dots in photo-electrochemical solar cells including: quantum dots antennas, quantum dots electrodes and tandem systems. Design, materials, fabrication, characterization and prospect will be discussed.
